Father's Day

I had a great first Father's Day! On Friday night, we took Taylor out to eat and then up to New Hampshire to get a video camera that is going to get a lot of use over the next 18 years!

But first, I picked Taylor up from "school" on Friday afternoon and was very surprised to find out I had my first ever Father's Day present from Taylor. A tie!

She smiled real big when I said "THANKS, TAYLOR." Here is Taylor ordering a margarita. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't understand the whole "you can't drink until you are 21" concept. But we let her indulge and think that she might get one of these colorful drinks.

Saturday morning I awoke and Karin had started using the new Flip video camera. Obviously, we need to share one of Taylor eating my favorite food, a bagel.

Without a doubt, it was an incredible weekend with my wife and daughter, and I am looking forward to sharing more fun moments of Taylor's life with everyone, especially now that I can capture it all with a video camera!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Dave!

Taylor wants to say Happy Birthday, Uncle Dave! While Taylor has no idea what this mug is all about, she can appreciate a good bottle. So, Uncle Dave...have a great day and take it easy! Love you, Taylor

Happy Birthday, Nana!

Taylor would just like to say Happy Birthday to her Nana. While Taylor's nana lives in Roanoke, VA, she visited in November, March, May and we'll see her again in July! She can't wait to visit and listen to her quirky made-up lullabies that always feature Taylor as the main character! Love you, Nana.

Shopping and lunching...

Yesterday, we took Taylor outlet shopping to her favorite stores (Carter's, Osh Kosh B'Gosh, and Baby Gap). She's growing quickly and we needed to stock up on some everyday, crawling around type summer clothes. Before we shopped till we dropped, we had lunch at the Pizzeria Uno in the shopping center. It was Taylor's first experience in the restaurant high chair. She has a high chair at home that she's used to, but the chairs in the restaurants aren't quite as supportive. But since Taylor is sitting by herself really well, and quickly outgrowing her carseat carrier, we thought she was ready. Boy, was she ready! She proceeded to hold court at the pizzeria with everyone stopping by to say their hellos. While munching on the menu, the manager came over to ask if she cared for a "different flavor of menu."

She has just about made the leap to "real" food and while she doesn't have any teeth yet, seems to "gum" small bite size pieces of bread, cheerios, bananas, or anything else we're brave enough to give her. So soon enough she'll have something in front of her while mom and dad eat, and won't have to resort to chewing on the table! :)

Papa's Co-Captain

Taylor had her first boat ride on Papa and Gram's boat on Memorial Day. She loved it! She didn't love the life jacket, but she will have to get used to it...surprisingly enough, she doesn't know how to swim. It was a great day where she had both her Nana and Gram with her to cruise around the Boston Harbor and enjoy the beautiful day. It was so calm out on the water that she was able to enjoy a nice nap down below the deck out of the sun. She also got to play with DJ and Rocky, the dogs. Taylor can't wait to get out again and co-captain with Papa!
